The Buccaneers got absolutely bodied by the Broncos last week right out of the gate. It's a team that likely overlooked their 0-2 opponent. They lost the game and at the end of the day, it was a reality check. You can't take any team for granted in the NFL. It's any given Sunday. And that lesson carried over into today going against a beat up Eagles team that would be missing Right Tackle Lane Johnson, and Wide Receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

The Bucs jumped out on them early.

And broke records in the process with Mike Evans becoming the Buccaneers all-time leading scorer.

At the end of the 1st Quarter, Baker Mayfield was on pace for historic numbers.

And he absolutely bullied the Birds on 4th & Goal.

The Eagles were forced to basically abandon the run and it allowed the Bucs defense to pin their ears back and hunt.

It resulted in six sacks and a dominant win for the home team. With the Falcons toppling the Saints with a last second field goal, the Buccaneers move into sole possession of 1st place in the NFC South with a big divisional game at Atlanta looming on Thursday.
