Skip Bayless Reveals That He Almost Reunited With Stephen A. Smith For An ESPN+ Digital Show In 2020

On today's Pardon My Take... SKIP BAYLESS! One of the biggest guests in the Chicago era of the show joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter in the office on today's show to talk about his career in television, his relationship with Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe, getting to supreme debate, some old takes, Tebow, and more.

If you are a sports fan, you have watched a ton of Skip Bayless on your television. And before his recent tenure at FOX came to an end, he had a great run at ESPN, where he was on First Take with the aforementioned Stephen A. Smith. When Skip departed The Worldwide Leader In Sports for FOX in 2016, his on-air partnership with Stephen A. was up as well.

However, could we see a potential reunion between two of the best to ever do it in the sports media world? Perhaps. In fact, we were very close to getting a reunion between the two in 2020. Skip explained what almost happened on today's PMT. Take a look...

A sports talk debate show in 2020 between Skip and Stephen A?! Now THAT would have been the perfect thing to get us through COVID. Could you imagine the LeBron takes that we would have gotten during the LeBubble Mickey Mouse era?! It would have been magnificent.

But unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be at that time. As Skip hinted at, however, never say never. And as we say in this business, a reunion with Skip and Stephen A. would do NUMBIES.
