Charli XCX Put On A Surprise Concert In The Middle Of Times Square Last Night

Like Charli or not, this is fucking sick. She is the queen of surprise pop up shows, but they usually have a little more of a rough and tumble feel - perched atop a car in Brooklyn, for example:

The Brooklyn pop up this past May kicked off the mega viral BRAT SUMMER as we've come to know it. Now, with a Grammy nomination and lots of shaking hands and kissing babies to do, Charli partnered with H&M to put on maybe one of the coolest surprises I've ever seen.

TONS of people gathering around to watch and listen, film on their iPhones, and soak up more brat summer which I think at this point, has peacefully transitioned into party girl fall. I get jealous when I see these kinds of things pop up in the city I live - I'm barely 30 blocks up! How could I not hear Charli from my windows and raced down to see her?? I also wonder what the sound quality was like IN the moment. It seems pretty legit!! Definitely the most action Times Square will see this year until Ryan Seacrest and Dick Van Dyke's (yes, he's still alive) balls start dropping on NYE. Hats off to Charli and H&M for this flawless marketing execution.
