Jerry Rice Showed Up At The 49ers Practice Facility To Train The Day After The Team's Super Bowl Parade

On today's Pardon My Take... STEVE YOUNG! The Hall of Famer joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to talk about QB’s making it through early struggles, the flight that changed his life, his relationship with Joe Montana, coaching in the NFL, and more.

One of the best QB-WR duos that we have ever seen includes Steve Young to Jerry Rice. Rice had 780 catches for 11,462 yards and scored 119 touchdowns in 137 games with Young in his career. Truly insane numbers.

But what made this partnership as successful as possible? Their work ethics were a big reason. And a story we got on today's show about Jerry Rice's work ethic is truly incredible. Take a look at what Steve Young had to say...

A grinder. An absolute grinder. You have to respect the heck out of Jerry Rice for pulling this move the day after the 49ers Super Bowl Parade. I'd imagine a large portion of players and coaches were hungover and/or sleeping. But not Jerry Rice. The Hall of Famer was back in the lab already starting the process for his next successful season. What a warrior.
