People Are Seriously Discussing The Idea Of The Giants Trading For Jonathan Taylor And At This Point, Fuck it, Go Get A Superstar
There are a bunch of people around the Giants world who are talking about the possibility of the Giants trading for Jonathan Taylor. My first gut reaction was hell no. We lived in the world of the top running back and that didn't mean anything. Then I had to remind my brain that it was mostly shitting coaching, Daniel Jones and not this version of the NFC East. I say that because, fuck it, I want to see a playoff run. I just want to see a playoff game at this point. Win the NFC East and you're hosting a playoff game.
You also have Harbaugh talking like this:
Also doesn't help that Harbaugh clearly is pissed at Skattebo and doesn't trust anyone in the running back room. Does trading for a running back make us a Super Bowl team? No. But it gives us another superstar. I mean Jonathan Taylor is really fucking good. Breaking news, I know. But you add him to weapons with Nabers and Likely you at least have some options out there. It. gives you an advantage in the NFC East, that's for sure.

Obviously this is going to be an expensive move. But it's not like you need to draft a quarterback. You can take shots at receiver (like Fields) and keep getting better on the line/defensive side of the ball. Plenty of these guys are on rookie contracts, you can spend some money. I don't know, do something to rejuvenate this franchise and give us some more playoff hope. That's basically where I'm at. I know this will end with Tyrone Tracy or just some other old dude coming in later in the year, but give me Taylor at this point. Too many people are talking about it.
