BROWSER WARS: Mozilla Firefox Is Making A Comeback, And They've Gathered Some Of The Internet's OG Stars For This BRILLIANT Commercial

This is one of the best ads I've ever seen. Point blank.

In the years after Dave Portnoy invented the internet, we obviously witnessed Google and Apple establish monopolies in the digital space. And I'll admit it: Ever since I started using an iPhone and a MacBook for work, the only web browsers I've employed since are Safari and Google Chrome.

But that might change after seeing this Firefox commercial. I think I gotta become a Firefox guy again.

And that's the thing: I used to be on Firefox all the time growing up! I'm sure a lot of people reading this used to be Firefox guys, too. My family had a Dell PC that we all shared in our computer room, and Firefox was the only browser we had downloaded on it.

Hell, my Scoofmaster college football videos wouldn't exist without Firefox.

That's what I loved most about this commercial -- the fact that they brought us back to the OG internet days. The nostalgia was incredible. Seeing Bad Luck Brian damn near brought a tear to my eye. It's also good to see the guy who sings Chocolate Rain still crushing it. Dude was electric on The Yak last month.

But aside from taking a look back at the best memes from Internet 1.0, I do think the actual subject matter of Firefox's message is awesome. The browsers these days have been completely overrun by AI, and we've just come to terms with our data being tracked by these giant tech companies. I respect the fact that Firefox is looking to restore some of that old school internet feel, while also valuing the privacy of its users.

It was the perfect message and truly the perfect way of delivering it. I loved it. And I obviously can't speak for everybody, but they won me back over BIG time with this campaign.
