'He Should Have Kept His Mouth Shut' - The Amount Of Shit Talking Between Jared Verse And The Steelers Is Beautiful And Much Needed For Today's NFL
So a month ago Jared Verse started all of this after Thursday Night Football. A 3am tweet where he called the Steelers dirty. Again, no problems with it. You want to be in the middle of a rivalry, the easiest way to escalate it is accuse them of being dirty. Then this week we had more back and forth:
Then come yesterday, we got to see it play out:
Quality suplex there. It's not Suplex City, but you get the point. And then the Steelers had plenty to say after the game

Hell yes. This is what sports need. Everyone has been too friendly over the last decade or so. We've lost the plot in terms of rivalries and really hating each other. I'm not talking obnoxious fans who are just looking to fight. I'm talking guys on the field who see Steelers black and yellow and hate their guts. We're getting it back a little bit in the NBA this year. We're getting it in the NFL now too. I'm not saying go out there and fight, but talk some shit, hit them a little harder, then move on after the game. It's what this sport should be.
Plus, it can't be quarterbacks doing this. I fully expect wide receivers and defensive backs to constantly yap. It's what they do best. That's been the case for years now. I want the boys in the trenches to start getting in on it. Those are the ones in hell every week trying to just hit each other. Need more rivalries to pick up now. Can't just rely on the Steelers and Browns.
