Guest Blog - Closing Day At Arlington Park, Mandatory Pick 6 Payout, Let's All Get Rich With Some Winners

Editor’s Note – One of my friend’s down at Joe’s who is around the OTB every day asked if he could start giving out some Horse picks considering the fact that he’s there every day and has the experience and skill to hopefully hand out winners. So here we are. Going to jump into some horse racing tips from time to time on Barstool Chicago. Guess we’ll all be rich soon. This is Mark, thank him when we win.

What up guys, figure because most of us are degenerates here why not have some horse racing analysis. The loose plan is that I will be cover racing at Santa Anita, Churchill Downs and any big carryovers. Arlington race track finishes up its fall meet this Saturday and the jackpot pick six has a mandatory payout (last day of the meet so they must payout the whole pool). It has carried over for about three weeks and the current carryover pool is $351,585, total pool should get close to one million dollars. The minimum bet for the ticket is only $0.20 so I can make a solid ticket without it getting too expensive. Arlington basically owes me the money in this pool.  A couple years ago there was a similar situation except it was a jackpot pick nine mandatory payout. My friend and I split a pretty big ticket and we missed out on a big payday by missing two races. I was nosed out in the third race and missed the second to last race. The payout was $75,830 for all nine and $648 for eight of nine. So that carryover money pretty much belongs to me. The ticket is below. I have a pile of these type of tickets that I have saved to remind myself of how much of a degenerate I am.

After going through everything I like Notte D’Oro for Michael Stidman in the sixth race. The horse has been facing tougher opponents at Del Mar and has a good inside post. I will use him as my single. I also really like the one horse (Rivzinthouse) in the 5th race, he might go to the front and never look back.

Race 5 – Illinois Allowance  27.5k – 6 Furlongs All Weather

#1 -Rivzinthouse – 5/2 – Has won 4 of 7 at Arlington

#2- Plunder – 5/1

#4 -Reigning Catfish – 3/1

Race 6 – Stakes 50k – 1 Mile Turf

#2 – Notte D’Oro – 2/1 – Single – has faced much tougher horses at Del Mar recently

#3 – Eden Prairie – #3 – 5/2

Race 7 – Stakes 50k, 1 Mile Turf

#2 – Super Soldier – 8/1

#3 – Crewman –  30/1

#4 – Key to Power – 5/1

#7 – Yankee Dealer – 4/1

#8 – Flashlight – 8/1

#11 – Aztec Brave – 3/1

Race 8 – Allowance 22k, Abt 1 Mile Turf

#1 – Veter –  9/2

#4 – Alpha Kitalpha –  4/1 – Wayne Catalano, great turf trainer, dropping class from a stakes race

#6 – Spark Kit – 7/2

#8 – Five Green Stars –  3/1

#9 – Prima Storm – 12/1

Race 9 – Claiming 5k, 1 1/16 Miles Turf

#2 – Hotter N Blazes  – 4/1

#5 – Cleaver Yank  – 7/2

Race 10 – Claiming 7.5k,  1 Mile All Weather

#1 – Julie S. – 6/1

#3 – Zumba It –  9/2

#9 – Nikaluk  – 5/2

So the ticket would be 1-2-4 / 2 / 2-3-4-7-8-11 / 1-4-6-8-9 / 2-5 / 1-3-9. Total cost of the ticket is $108.00 for the $0.20 minimum bet. If you add the other horse in race 6 (Eden Prairie) cost of the ticket is $216.00. Give me my money Arlington.
