Saturday was a glorious day in New York sports. The Westchester Knicks acquired one of the most beloved players in college basketball history and then the New York Knicks went out and beat a very good Washington Wizards team. And there was definitely no baseball being played. No heartbreaking, guts ripped out hardball in the Big Apple. Nope, just the Knicks slowly becoming the most entertaining team in the entire sports world.

First lets talk about Jimmer, since the D-League pick actually happened before the game.  What a time to be a Knicks fan.  We have a team that is fun to watch as they move the ball fluidly.  Likable personalities like Godzingis, RoLo, Kyle O’Quinn, and hopefully sooner or later, Jimmer.  And Westchester is full of trophy wives chasing past glory, so Jimmer will fit right in.

I love how Phil Jackson casually dropped his goink tweet about how jump shooting teams are flawed and then he goes out and acquires Jimmer and Godzingis the last few months. The Zen Master is playing chess while everyone else thinks he is playing Candy Land.  Keyser Soze shit right there.

Now we all know Jimmer has range from three-point line to three-point line and he may be kind of a defensive liability (read: He is AWFUL at defense), but it is impossible to not be excited about Jimmermania if you watch this highlight reel from his senior year at BYU.

*Has there ever been a bad highlights montage set to “Remember The Name”? The answer is no.

Next up was the impressive win over the Wizards.

After struggling over the first few games of the season, Me7o finally awoke with 37 points (including hitting eight shots in a row at one point).  You knew Melo was going to be fired up since he was playing his hometown team (he’s from Baltimore, NOT Brooklyn, no matter what Jim Dolan wants you to think).  And bum ass Jared Dudley said Melo was the most overrated player in the game.  Well, you can say what you want about Carmelo, but he came through when it mattered.  Melo’s struggles were the biggest concerns of the young season, and almost dropping 40 on a very good Wizards team was a good start to making Knicks fans believe in the team.

Next on the list is the Rebecca Haarlow Stem Check. Looking good, but not as long or as strong as Opening Night.

But if we are being honest, Becky needs to get her pants hemmed ASAP before she falls flat on her face during a game.

And last but certainly not least is the Clyde Suit Rating, which I didn’t get to tweet out because I was definitely not getting my heart mangled to shreds by my favorite baseball team.

Clyde Suit Rating:  Dropping a lyrical punch out while spitting sweet lingo, with the style of a Don and the color of a flamingo.
