A Woman Confronted A Starbucks Employee Who Stole Her Credit Card Info And Used It To Buy Groceries

That awkward moment when you realize you should have just eaten some stale scones from work instead of stealing money from a big girl with time to spend on revenge:

In general I’m a big fan of people getting what they deserve; if you do shitty things, they should come back to you somehow or else the universe is entirely unbalanced. So in theory I’m fine with this woman putting this Starbucks worker in her place, getting her fired, all well-deserved. But didn’t there seem like there was something unsatisfying about that? She caught her in the act, the girl admitted it, she said “I’m sorry” as fast and as many times as humanly possible, and that was about it. I think the lady had conjured up some scenario where she pulls out the card, something clicks in the girl’s head, and then she catches her in some game of cat and mouse that leaves the girl like “Rats, you’ve foiled my genius criminal plan” and flies away on the lunch lady arms of justice. But it’s like the woman said, with how fast credit card companies will refund whatever and collect insurance on it, it’s not like the girl even needed to pay her back or anything. Pretty unsatisfying vigilantism I say.

Also it can’t be just me who found this thief girl kinda cute right? Maybe it’s the overapologeticness, the fact that she must be good at squeezing every last bit of cream out, or knowing that her apartment would be full of recently purchased snacks but something there worked for me with this little coffee making larcenist minx.
