Sign the Petition Going Around to Help the SMU Basketball Program

NCAA BASKETBALL: MAR 26 NIT - California at SMU

What if I told you there is an undefeated team and top-8 team in the country who people can help. Is it a longshot? Absolutely. Does it make any sense? Debatable. Will it work? The NCAA is dumb as shit, so it might.

That’s right Stoolies. We have a chance to help the SMU basketball program become eligible for the NCAA Tournament and reverse the ruling by the piece of shit Mark Emmert. So, what needs to be done?

Well, first take a moment to sign this petition to go to the White House. If it doesn’t work everyone just tweet @POTUS (thanks a lot, Obama) and write angry e-mails to the NCAA. It’s time to take a stand in the crazy season that is college basketball to let one of the best teams in the country compete for a national championship.

I’ve said it before on the site and on Twitter. This ban needs to be lifted. The player (Keith Frazier) and administrator who were the two people for the investigation are both no longer associated with the program. The administrator as left and Frazier just announced his transfer to North Texas. Larry Brown served his nine-game suspension and if you really want to throw in that he can’t be associated with the program for this to work, I’m fine with that. The Mustangs went undefeated without him anyways.

Players like Nic Moore (a sneaky National Player of the Year and All-American candidate) deserve to have another crack in March after last year when a debatable goaltend knocked them out of the first round. They deserve a chance to win the American Conference that kinda sucks with top talent.

They deserve fairness. Somehow it’s been a five-year investigation into UNC. The SMU investigation was just eight months. We don’t even have a ruling on UNC yet, but the NCAA decided to slap SMU with this ridiculous ban. This isn’t a widespread thing. It was a singular player, who is now gone.

Help out this innocent team by signing the petition. Click here.
