Is Johnny Manziel Ever Going To Leave Las Vegas?
You know your one friend that is a little too into strip clubs? You could be having a normal night at the bar and he’s randomly trying to get everyone to stop everything and hit up the strip club. Or maybe when you’re actually at a strip club, he’s the guy that you have to literally drag out of the place. Goes into a back room and disappears for 7 hours, then comes out and swears he “didn’t do anything”. You try to explain to him that the strippers don’t in fact love him and that they’re playing him for his money, but it never fully registers. And don’t get me wrong, Strip Clubs are fun every once in a while, but if you’re trying to go every weekend night they go from fun random event to “damn this is kind of weird” pretty quickly. No one wants to be the “strip club guy”. Strip Club guys end up being the guys that show up to a strip club by themselves when they’re 50. They’re the guys that buy strippers Christmas and Birthday presents. Not a place you want to be.
Well that’s how I feel with Johnny and Vegas. The guy just won’t leave. Every other weekend he’s in Vegas partying it up, having a “wild Vegas weekend”. At some point doesn’t it become kind of old? At some point doesn’t partying in Vegas lose it’s luster when you do it every single weekend? At some point don’t you say to yourself, I don’t have an NFL team right now, maybe I should lay low for a minute, post a couple of pictures of myself doing box jumps in the gym instead of hanging out at Tao at 3 am? And I think that point arrives when the last friend you have is Mario Batali. That’s it Johnny, you’ve reached the end. Take away the famous chef part for a second. Your last friend in Vegas is the fat old dude with a pony tail. That’s when you know you’ve gone too far. That’s when you know you’ve become the “strip club guy”.
