FOXPolice say a minivan full of Amish teens was pulled over Friday after reaching speeds of 110 miles per hour.

Indiana State Troopers said the 2001 Dodge Caravan was clocked at the breakneck speed shortly before midnight in a 60 miles per hour zone on U.S. 31 near the city of Rochester.

Troopers said that as they caught up with the speeding vehicle, they observed the teens throwing alcoholic beverages out of the windows.

When the teens pulled over, the troopers smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.

They searched the minivan and found a large “jug” of whiskey, cases of beer and other bottles of alcoholic beverages.

According to reports, the troopers initially had trouble contacting relatives, because they do not use telephones due to practicing the Amish religion.

Big time move from the Amish here to try and improve their #Brand with a younger generation. I mean they may not have TVs or cell phones or internet or really any sort of communication devices connected to the outside world, but they’re no idiots. They can tell which way the wind’s blowing. The kids just aren’t feeling the Amish lifestyle anymore. Churning butter and milking cows and building furniture by hand can only appeal to the youth for so long. Eventually they see what the other kids who aren’t wearing tablecloths as outfits are doing and want to rebel a little bit. Gotta let them spread their wings and if that involves borrowing somebody’s Dodge Caravan and whipping it around at 110 MPH while slamming jugs of homemade moonshine well then so be it. Bad Boy Life happens to everyone, even the Amish.
