Pilot - In a music video posted on YouTube, Chesapeake resident Ronald “GRAMS” Yarborough and his crew rap his fans through the finer points of making crack cocaine. More than 1,200 people have watched as baking soda, strainers and plastic baggies flash on the screen.

Among the viewers: Members of the FBI’s Tidewater Violent Crimes Task Force.

Yarborough, 38, and six other suspected members of the Cheesetown Money Gettaz were indicted last week on federal charges relating to the distribution of large quantities of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin in Chesapeake, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. To date, six of the defendants are in custody: Yarborough, Brandon “Killa” Stephens and Deangelo “Safety” Hyman were arrested Tuesday on the federal charges. Detron “Bae Dollas” Jackson, Carlton “Jug” Wilson, and Ajene “AJ” Jordan were previously arrested on state charges.

The FBI has announced a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Ronald Antonio Johnson, who is also known as “Pooh.”

We have a lot of younger folk who read this here website. Every now and then I like to hand out free advice. Here’s your free advice for the day- if you’re going to make a rap video and upload it to the Internet, make sure you aren’t giving a tutorial of how to make crack cocaine, and also make sure you aren’t part of a large ring of drug dealers.

See, that’s what GRAMS, Killa, Safety, Bae Dallas, Jug, AJ, and Pooh forgot when they decided they were ready to release their music to the world. They were so siked about their big music project, so pumped about showing 1,200 people how awesome their rhymes were, that they forgot they probably shouldn’t tip off the police about their massive drug dealing operation. Oopsy! Classic mistake.

But you know what, got to give the Cheesetown Money Gettaz their props. Some rappers claim they are street, there is now absolutely no denying that the Cheesetown Money Gettaz are as street as it comes. Unfortunately for them that street cred is now going to have to be cashed in behind bars, but hey, 1,200 people watched their video. 1,200! Even Jenna Marbles had to start somewhere (Her house. I believe she started at her house while working at a tanning bed and then got huge overnight.)
