High SnobietyIf Nike’s original release plan holds, the power-lacing shoes will only be available for purchase via charity auction, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

The Air Mags. The most popular fictional shoe of all time. This isnt the first time they’ve been released. Back in 2011 they released 1,500 pairs – again all for charity – and the sales generated almost $5 million for the Fox Foundation. But the difference this time around is that, supposedly, this release will have the self lacing feature that Marty had. Electronic shoes, man. We really are living in the future. Now if we could just throw on our self lacing Air Mags and then hop on our Hoverboard, we’d be all set.

Obviously its next to impossible to get a pair. I think this release is supposed to be even more exclusive and combine that with the self lacing feature, and I think pairs will be going for like $25,000. As a diehard Back To The Future nerd and a fan of sneakers, I would of course love a pair of Air Mags. But lets call a spade a spade they are atrocious shoes. They are a legendary pair of shoes and you could stunt on everyone if you rolled up in a pair of Mags but its all just based on reputation and nostalgia. The shoes themselves are absurd.

But if you did wanna grab a pair of Back To The Future kicks and cant afford to drop a years worth of rent on sneakers, go with the McFly Dunks. Same colorway with the wolf grey and the teal soles with speckle on the midsole. Very fire.

Only thing thats annoying about them is they are Dunks so they have that clunky ass thick tongue. But the rest of the shoe is fuego and you can get that Back to The Future vibe without dropping thousands of dollars for some crazy movie shoes. But obviously shout out to anyone who does drop that cash and supports the Michael J Fox foundation. Win for everybody.
