Daily MailIn the latest PR disaster for Samsung, a Burger King employee has been filmed struggling with a burning Galaxy Note 7 at a restaurant in Korea.

Using both hands and wearing a pair of heavy-duty oven gloves, the woman struggles to handle the phone, which is pouring with smoke.

Onlookers at the branch of Burger King in the city of Incheon in South Korea shriek as the woman uses the heatproof gloves to place the phone on a table, before dropping the warped and melted handset onto the floor.

Riggs mentioned this in his grading of the debate, but what Samsung did with their Galaxy Note is truly remarkable. Just masterful PR work. To dump the news that your phone has a pretty significant bug right smack dab in the middle of the Presidential Debate when absolutely nobody is paying attention. I didn’t even hear about it until yesterday. We haven’t even blogged it I don’t think. What’s the bug? Notifications aren’t working? Battery dying too fast? Apps closing out? Eh. Little worse. Like the thing catches on fire and literally explodes, that kind of bug. Sorry but we’re taking it back to Beta to sort it all out to try and prevent 6th degree burns and ending up like Two Face after a phone convo with your girlfriend.

Do love the salt-in-the-wound move by Burger King.

Samsung has confirmed the device in the footage was a Galaxy Note 7, but did not comment further.

The manager of the outlet told an online news website Wikitree that the store had requested compensation from Samsung for the damage to the table.

When you have to halt sales on your biggest product launch meanwhile your rival is expected to sell 15 million+ more units as their stock rises to its highest level since December and a Burger King in Korea is emailing you about replacing their $20 table <<<
