Two Iowa Police Officers Shot And Killed Ambush-Style In Their Cars, Suspect On The Run

NBC News- Two Iowa police officers were fatally shot in their cars early Wednesday during separate “ambush-style attacks” in greater Des Moines, authorities said. At least one suspect remained on the loose, and there was a “clear and present danger to police officers,” Sgt. Paul Parizek, a spokesman for the Des Moines Police Department, told reporters. He added that there did “not appear that there was any interaction between these officers and the coward who shot them.” Parizek, who said the officers “were gunned down when they were sitting in their car,” added that his colleagues were travelling in pairs for their own safety.

BNO- Two police officers have been killed after coming under fire in apparent “ambush-style attacks” in and near the city of Des Moines in Iowa, local officials say. A manhunt is underway for the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Scott Michael Greene.

Well that’s pretty much the worst news possible to wake up to. God damn it. Unfathomable, really. Some coward named Scott Michael Greene just ran up on these innocent police officers while they were sitting in their squad cars and killed them for no reason. No reason at all. That’s fucked. I don’t understand that type of behavior at all. Obviously we don’t know his motives yet but it doesn’t matter. Nothing will ever make that right or okay. If you wanna go out in a blaze of glory, fuck you. Just turn the gun on yourself and end it. Don’t put the friends and families of these fallen police officers through that. Greene is still on the run and considered armed and dangerous so everyone needs to be careful. Here’s to hoping this thing gets resolved and no one else gets hurt or killed and they catch this asshole. Thoughts go out to the families of the police officers.
