Is Bryson DeChambeau Serious With This New Putting Stroke?

Golf Digest- Bryson DeChambeau told Golf Digest’s Tim Rosaforte in October he was working on a side-saddle putting stroke. “It’s in development now,” DeChambeau said at the time. “I think it’s an easier way to putt and could be another game-changer like the one-length [irons].”

God I hate this dude. I wish I didn’t but I do. Everything he does drives me fucking crazy. He’s obviously super duper smart and interesting but I always feel like he’s being condescending when he does stuff like this. He came onto the golf scene like he was the hottest shit ever. Like he was gonna burst onto the scene and win every tournament he entered. Remember when he couldn’t stop talking about how all his irons were the same length? Of course you do because every golf broadcast wouldn’t stop talking about how all his irons were the same length. They were all acting like he had already won multiple professional tournaments.

And then this happened after his Masters appearance and I haven’t stopped laughing since

Now he’s going with a side-saddle putting stroke that will undoubtedly be used to fill at least 20 minutes of air time during the next televised tournament. Hey Bryson, maybe win a PGA Tour event. Or at least make a cut. That’s what makes me so mad about him and it’s not really his fault. He’s just out there trying weird shit and people eat it up. I’ll be on board with all the coverage he gets when he, ya know, actually does something of actual note on a golf course. Until then it’s all smoke and mirrors and isn’t working.
