Megyn Kelly Turning Down A 100 MILLION Dollar Contract From Fox News Is INSANE
Yahoo- Fox News offered Megyn Kelly $100 million over four years to remain at the network, a person close to the situation told TheWrap. News Corp and 21st Century Fox executive co-chairman Lachlan Murdoch personally made the offer, but Kelly turned it down without countering, choosing instead to join NBC. Fox News did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. Kelly’s reps declined to comment. Financial terms of the NBC deal, which was announced Tuesday, were not disclosed. Kelly announced on the air Tuesday that she was leaving her Fox News show. “After more than a dozen years at Fox News, I have decided to pursue a new challenge,” Kelly said on air. “This was a tough decision for me because I love this show, our staff, my crew, my colleagues here at Fox — and you, all of you.” She continued: “Those who write me the lovely hand-written notes asking about my kids, and even those who very rarely complain on Twitter about our coverage after a show or a presidential debate.”
So I haven’t followed this story closely at all because I don’t watch the news and therefore don’t care what news anchor works where but I have to get this off my chest. It is absolutely INSANE for Megyn Kelly (or anyone for that matter) to turn down that type of dough. Unless her deal with NBC is worth 200 million dollars, I don’t get this at all. I will literally say and do anything for 100 million dollars. No doubt about it. It doesn’t even matter what your political views are. I would flip my political views a full 180 degrees if someone wrote me a 100 million dollar check. I would turn on my own family for 100 million dollars. The list of things I would do for 100 million dollars is long and disgusting. It’s like that Tomi Lahren girl. She does it the right way. There’s no way she believes half the things she’s saying but she owns it cause there is a ginormous pay day coming her way at some point. People wanna keep their values and blah blah blah but fuck that. That stuff is overrated. Money be green and 100 million dollars is a lot of green.
