The NHL All Star Jerseys This Year Are Good And You're Wrong If You Disagree

It’s been a long while since the NHL managed to whip up a batch of All Star jerseys that actually deserve to be used as anything more than a jizz rag. I’d say 16 years to be exactly. Plenty of you were merely just a twinkle in your daddy’s ballsack the last time the NHL All Star jerseys didn’t suck. For real though. The last NHL ASG uniforms that didn’t belong in the trash were these North America vs the World beauties from 2000-01.

Completely different than your typical sweater but still looks extra clean. Since then, it’s been a disaster. There was a little run in ‘o7 and ’08 where it looked like maybe the league was heading in the right direction. But then they went to Montreal in ’09 and broke out the most absurd looking pieces of shit I’ve ever seen in my life. They haven’t been able to fully recover yet until maybe just now. An updated design on an older style. And it looks like somebody in the NHL finally turned on their brain and made up 4 jerseys this year for the 4 different division teams rather than just having 2 jerseys and confusing the shit out of everybody.

And for the most part, all jerseys look better once the players are actually wearing them. Typically with jersey unveils these days, everybody loves to trash them right off the bat but then comes around on them once they see them on the ice. But these jerseys look clean on the hangers and they’ll look even better in action. All we need now is for the NHL to bring back the glow puck and it’ll be a 100/100 viewing experience on January 29th.

Sidenote: along with the 2000-01 jerseys above, here’s the rest of my NHL All Star Game Jerseys Mount Rushmore.
