This Picture Of Eli Manning And The Coughlins Made Me Feel Things

Son of a bitchhhhh. Did I really need to see these three reunited knowing that it will just lead to Eli having to walk away from them again? Yes we have Benny Mac leading the ship now and I will always love that big, beautiful man. But the bond that Eli and the Coughlins have is probably deeper than any of us realize. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Eli and Coughlins had the same relationship that Dennis The Menace had with The Wilsons. Eli and Tom would occasionally butt heads but truly love each other and Mrs. Coughlin would make Eli sandwiches and shower him with love and compliments even after tough games. I mean tell me you couldn’t see a scenario like this play out in the Coughlin house?

Tom: Eli, did you break my window?

Eli: NOOOOO!!!

(Slingshot falls out of Eli’s pocket)

Mrs. Coughlin: Oh it’s okay Tom, we needed new windows anyway.

Now I know what you are thinking. Isn’t it kind of strange for a grown man to make up fan fiction about three other living grown adults? The answer is probably yes. But isn’t rooting for a bunch of strangers playing sports in general a little strange? I rest my case.

Now if you will excuse me, I am going to do my best to not include the Eli lip quiver from Tom Coughlin’s “resignation press conference” (I wrote this with finger quotes) in this blog.
