Grudge Charles is OUT! I guess after battling Shaq on TV for weeks and being in some weird ass triple threat shouting match with LeBron James and LaVar Ball, Sir Charles wanted to get the higher ground in his next feud of 2017. Charles will be entering this feud like Drago entered the fight in Rocky IV. The ratings would be equal to the Super Bowl plus the Seinfeld finale. Everyone on the planet wants to see Skip Bayless get his dick stomped in. However, this may not have been the best idea for Chuck. The problem for him is that every time Skip Bayless acts like an asshole on TV or Twitter (basically everyday), people around the globe are going to think “Man I hope Charles Barkley catches a terminal disease so we can see if he’s a man of his word and he murders Skip Bayless”. And you do NOT want that type of bad juju following you around. But it’s nice to see a feud in the media that is on about the same level of hatred as Dave Portnoy vs. Roger Goodell.
And you know who I am going to credit for all this craziness? LaVar Ball. Dude has been talking nonsense for months now and everybody just laughs it off. Talking about himself being better than MJ, his kid already being better than Steph, etc etc. He has dialed it all up to the point where guys probably feel like they have to say some REALLY outlandish shit just to get recognized over all this ridiculous chatter. The entire media landscape has been dialed up to another level of shit talking and that is why I think Charles went full Andy Bernard on all of us with that quote.
