Hackers Are Threatening To Leak The Script For Game of Thrones Episode 4

(Source)HBO was recently hacked, Entertainment Weekly reports, with the hackers claiming to nab 1.5 terabytes of data. Upcoming episodes of “Ballers” and new series “Room 104″ have been put online, EW wrote, and “There is also written material that’s allegedly from next week’s fourth episode of Game of Thrones. More is promised to be ‘coming soon.'” A few reporters got an anonymous email Sunday previewing the hack. This morning, HBO chairman and CEO Richard Plepler confirmed the breach in an email to HBO employees.

I hope like hell these things don’t come out because if they do you can catch me by the fireplace with a nice glass of mead, reading the hell out of them like it’s olden times and people read shit still. I wish that wasn’t the case but it absolutely, absolutely is. I don’t like the way that I am, in a perfect world I’d be a different kind of person, but the fact of the matter is that I have a burning desire to know what happens next week on Game of Thrones every Monday. If HBO was good at business there would be an option to buy next week’s episode as soon as Sunday’s ends, they could charge exorbitant fees and my addictive personality would force me to purchase it. Charge something like 100 bucks for the next episode, 200 for the one after, 400 next, and so on. HBO could charge thousands of dollars to eventually get the whole season and I’d spend that without a second thought. That’s a free idea for them to improve revenue this quarter.

So yeah, I really hope that these don’t get leaked for real because I know it’s not gonna be as great as watching the show but I’d still have to do it. There’s nothing better than being smarter than everyone and if I could know what happens while all the rest of the Thrones nerds, even the ones who read the books, didn’t then that would be a prize too difficult to pass up.

I offer this blog as a plea to the humanity of the hackers: do not REALLY leak them. If you wanna bury it on reddit or 4chan or wherever you hacker dorks hang out then fine, but don’t let it hit the social media that us normies frequent. Don’t let my eyes see it. Because if you do I will read it and tell everyone what happens and I will lose friends. Please. Please don’t show these to me.
