UCLA And USC Played A Game At The Staples Center AFTER The Kings Game On Tuesday Night

Are UCLA and USC the best schools to play hockey at? I mean first off, you get to show up to the rink in flip flops every day. You’re also on two of the nicest campuses in the country. You’re not funded by the school so you essentially have 0 pressure on you to be successful. You can still tell girls at parties “Ya I’m on the Hockey team. Not a big deal” and best of all, you get to play at the Staples Center after Kings games.

One of the biggest problems Club Hockey teams face is getting fans to come to the games. It usually consists of friends that you had to beg to come and parents that begged you to come. Imagine being able to tell your friends that they can get tanked and go to the Kings game and stick around to watch the boys play some club puck? Kill two birds with one stone. It’s a win-win.

And it looks like USC actually had a decent turnout of fans. Tuesday night in L.A. on two of the most fun college campuses in the country, the only reasonable thing to do would be to watch some club hockey. USC & the Kings also put on a Beer fest pregame. Talk about blackout city.

Nothing like a little club hockey to get the people going before the two schools face off this weekend in Football. Another reason the west needs to adapt college hockey. But that’s a story for a different day.
