One Final Chris Thompson Appreciation Blog This Season

All year I’ve sung Chris Thompson’s praises. The only bad thing I could say about him is he didn’t get the ball more, and that’s not even his fault. He was a force to be reckoned with every time he had the ball in his hands, a true home run threat each and every time he lined up across from a defense that had no idea what was about to happen.

Literally leaving people dead on the field

And then yesterday, a player’s worst nightmare took place:

Fractured fibula…which I tell ya, does not sound too comfortable. And it’s because he was doing what he does best- being a great all-around football player, blocking downfield for Kirk trying to scramble for a first down.

Hoping Chris makes a full recovery and is back on the field, fresh and good as new for next season. Because as my pal Robert said it best,

Amen.
