This Phoenix Car Wash Might Be The Real Life A1A Car Wash From "Breaking Bad"

Fox - FOX 10 Phoenix has discovered what appears to be a homeless encampment on the roof of a car wash, in the area of 19th avenue and Camelback.

From the ground, there is no sign of anything unusual going on on the roof, but video taken by SkyFOX Drone shows there is definitely something going on, on top of the car wash. A tent, a bicycle, and other things can be seen on the roof of Spot Free Car Wash.

Stefanie Rojeski can see the car wash roof, from her back yard.

“We’ve lived here for 11 years, and I would say a good five or six years, people have been living up there off and on,” said Rojeski.

Rojeski said they have seen tents and people, and lights on the roof. She said the car wash, which is open 24/7, draws the homeless and drug activity. She said that is why an alley near her home is littered with garbage, including at least one needle.

The car wash’s owner, Paul LaRue, said he checks on the car wash daily, and said no one lives there.

“I can assure anyone concerned: no body lives on the roof,” said LaRue.

LaRue, who said he has owned the car wash for 20 years, also pushed back against complaints of drug activity.

“There’s no drug activity. No noise,” said LaRue. “You’d see outside, normal standard you’d see at any car wash operation”

Ah yes, the old “he said, she said” battle for the ages.

In one corner you have the neighbor Stefanie Rojeski, who claims she has seen people living up there for years, and the drone footage which allows you to clearly see the tents and sleeping bags and random other shit on the roof that would allow people to live.

In the other corner you have the car wash owner Paul LaRue. I like the cut of this guy’s jib. While there are all those homeless people and drug dealers using his roof as their drug den, he’s like “Nope.”. When shown evidence of them, he’s like “Nope.”. Where there is literally a tent on the roof so people can live there, he’s like “look, I’m telling you for the last time, nobody lives in that tent situated directly on the roof”.

And then he doubled and tripled down. “No drug activity”. And not just that…no noise! No noise at all! Literally the most quiet, non-person living on the roof, non-drug using car wash in the history of the world.

He does make one big mistake though. He had me convinced until he said “You’d see outside, normal standard you’d see at any car wash operation”. Oh come on, Paul! You had us until there. Because when people think of “car wash activity”, what do they think of?

So sorry, Mr Car Wash Owner. You gave it away that you’re running some sort of drug operation through your establishment…which just so happens to be 24/7. Good for you though, make that Heisenberg money dawg.
