The funny thing is that from 1997 when this happened til the Phillies won in 2008, it was probably Philadelphia’s greatest sports moment. The Eagles winning could make us forget some of the lean years, but boy howdy, there was a time when regular season in-game moments (not even wins!) were the greatest moments we had to live for.

Now the Eagles are signing everyone, the Sixers are exciting as fuck, the Flyers are surging and the Phillies just added Jake Arrieta. Times are good, but let’s not forget where we came from.
