Welcome To The Heartland: Jeff Vibbert

The first time I met Jeff Vibbert, I cannot lie I thought he was Pat’s little cousin who got the day off of school to help run things at the intern interviews. Vibbert, an Indiana native has many aliases; Vibbs, Jimmy Hogg, and of course Rachel Maddow, but his reach goes beyond the funny names that Pat calls him. He produces the Pat McAfee Show, he hosts the Heartland segment, “Things You Missed” every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and will be featured on countless other projects that Barstool Heartland will be putting out. Vibbert has always been a Stoolie and always wanted to work with Barstool.

“I loved what they were doing out there in Boston, and I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of,” said Vibbert.

Before being the man of all traits here at the Heartland, Vibbert worked for the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Bob and Tom Show.” Vibbert clicked buttons for their VIP live stream and he hated his life. Every once in a while they would let him on air, and once he got a taste of entertaining people he knew that is what he wanted to do. Not only did the radio show guide him that revelation, but it is also where Vibbert met Pat.

“Pat was a guest on the show and I met him through there,” said Vibbert. “I then opened up doing stand up comedy for Pat back in 2014.”

The two formed a relationship and once Pat brought Barstool to Indy, Vibbert wanted to jump aboard. I believe what he told me his reaction was, was, “Fuck yea, I gotta do this.” Pat had the idea for “Things You Missed” and Vibbert said they needed someone dumb enough to wake up a 3:00 a.m. to do the show, and he believed he was the perfect person to do so.

Going forward with Barstool Heartland, Vibbert feels confident like everyone else working here.
“I see it being like Willy Wonka when they are in that elevator,” said Vibbert. “There is a ceiling and we are just going to bust through it.”
